Agree access with the resident
Ask the person receiving care how they want visitors to arrive. Confirm whether they will open the door or whether an agreed helper holds a key. Do not assume that an invitation to the care circle also means permission to enter the home.
Prepare the handover of keys
If a key must change hands, make this a separate practical task with an owner and a deadline before the visit. Record that the arrangement is complete without publishing a door code, hiding place or detailed security information in shared notes.
Plan for a failed arrival
Agree whom the visitor should call if nobody answers. Caremily contacts can help people find an agreed contact, but the application does not unlock doors or monitor arrivals. Follow the family’s separately agreed procedure if an urgent concern arises.
Review access when help ends
When a helper stops visiting, review key returns and any home access arrangement directly with the resident. Updating application membership does not recover physical keys. Use Caremily tasks for the practical follow-up while keeping security details outside broadly shared updates.
