Verify the new details

Confirm the provider name, number and practical purpose from the provider or another reliable source. Avoid copying an unverified number from an old chat. Check whether opening hours or the appropriate department changed as well, without assuming that the service is always available.

Use the appropriate role

In Caremily Family, admins and caregivers can add contacts, and helpers can read them. Choose a contact label that is useful to that shared audience. Do not add unrelated private numbers or sensitive details merely because a provider change prompted a wider review.

Check outstanding actions

Look for open tasks that depend on the old contact, such as confirming an appointment or arranging transport. Update the practical instructions where needed and tell the task owner directly if timing matters. The application does not automatically rewrite every earlier note that mentions the provider.

Leave a concise change handover

Record the practical change without repeating unnecessary personal information: for example, “transport office contact updated; Tuesday pickup still needs confirming”. Create or maintain the follow-up task with an agreed owner. This helps the next visitor understand the change rather than call both numbers.
