Check identity before the file

Confirm the selected cared-for person and the purpose of the upload. Do not rely only on a filename such as “appointment.pdf”. Separate Caremily care circles have their own members and documents, so a file in the wrong circle can reach the wrong authorized audience.

Use a clear practical filename

Choose a name that helps caregivers recognize the file without exposing unnecessary identifiers. Check that it is the current document and belongs to the selected person. Caremily accepts PDF, JPG and PNG files up to 5 MB; it is not a clinical archive or a document approval system.

Review the audience

Family admins and caregivers can view private documents; helpers cannot. Shared contacts and handovers are a different audience. Do not paste private contents into a broadly visible note to avoid the document role restrictions. Ask for appropriate sharing agreement and keep only useful information.

Verify after saving

Check that the uploaded file appears in the intended care circle and opens as expected. If you discover a mistake, use the available controls and inform the relevant administrator when necessary. A later role change cannot undo an external copy already saved by another person.
