Begin with an action
Use a title such as “call the transport office to confirm Tuesday pickup”. Avoid broad labels such as “transport” when there is a specific next step. Keep unnecessary personal information out of the title because helpers can see shared Family tasks.
Define the result
Explain what the person taking the task should achieve: a confirmed time, a delivered purchase or a collected document. If the work contains several independent steps, create separate tasks. This makes it easier to share responsibility without two people doing the same call.
Choose a useful deadline
Set the date and time by which the action must be finished, not merely the date of the related visit. Confirm that somebody has taken responsibility. Caremily can record tasks and ownership, but it does not decide whether a person is available.
Update unfinished work honestly
Mark the task done when the agreed result has been reached. If an office did not answer, leave a factual handover and agree the next attempt. Do not mark an unsuccessful call complete if the family still needs the original confirmation.
